Following the reading of Susan Laughter Meyer’s work at the Dockstreet Theatre Courtyard, please join Linda Ferguson, Richard Garcia, and Carol Peters for a reception and book signing at the City Gallery to honor their dear friend Susan.

Linda Ferguson, Richard Garcia, and Carol Peters, friends of poet Susan Laughter Meyers (1945-2017), will read from her posthumous manuscript, Self-Portrait in the River of Déjà Vu (2019, Press 53). According to Richard Garcia, the poems are “lyrical and yet narrative, the poet speaking through remembered elders to create a tale of mystery and grief, an ode to a beloved aunt who was subject of much family lore.”
