In honor of the fifth edition of Rosebud Roams Charleston, a local, regional and Rabbit Hole tradition, The Charleston Library Society along with Buxton Books will celebrate Author and Artist Sally Hughes Smith, and her gift of art from the book – 27 framed original illustrations – to the CLS archives. Join us for a special reception and signing of the special commemorative edition, as well as limited edition prints, along with remarks and tales of its creation.

About Sally Smith:
Sally Hughes Smith, a graduate of Duke University with an English and art focus, is a dedicated artist and writer whose love of Charleston blossomed into the book Rosebud Roams Charleston now in its fifth printing. She has had 53 solo art exhibits, culminating in her fourth museum exhibit at the Dixon Gallery in Memphis last fall. Her works are in public and private collections in over 300 cities at home and abroad. She has two other published books. Sally is married to pediatric surgeon, Dr. C.D. Smith, and lives in Charleston where they have reared their four children.
