Buxton Books is excited to be the booksellers for Brian Noyes, as part of Vivian Howard’s Lenoir Book Club Series!
The afternoon begins with a cocktail and following the conversation, then a book signing and meet-and-greet with food and beverage inspired by the book. The event will host baker and author Brian Noyes, founder of the Red Truck Bakery in Marshall, Va., and the author of the new Red Truck Bakery Farmhouse Cookbook. While he was the art director at The Washington Post and Smithsonian magazines, Brian baked pies and breads on weekends in his Virginia Piedmont farmhouse and sold them out of an old red truck he bought from designer Tommy Hilfiger. The bakery now has two destination locations in historic buildings, ships thousands of baked goods nationwide, and has earned accolades from Oprah Winfrey, Barack Obama, and many national publications. Noyes’ second cookbook shares the food Brian cooks at home as well as for the bakery’s thousands of nationwide customers to the world.
