The April book of the month for Up to Us Project is A Measure of Belonging — an anthology edited by Cinelle Barnes. In lieu of individual chapter meetings this month, we’re thrilled that Cinelle and one of the essayists, Latria Graham, have agreed to do a live virtual event on April 27 at 6:30 p.m.
A minimum contribution of $10 is required to participate and proceeds beyond speakers fees (too often POC aren’t compensated for their time and expertise) will be donated to Southern Poverty Law Center, Cinelle’s non-profit of choice.
You do not have to be a member of an Up to Us Project book club chapter to read along this month and join us for the event.
You won’t want to miss this thought-provoking and action-oriented discussion!

Ticket sales ends at 5 PM on April 27. Attendees will receive the Zoom link and password via email from a Buxton Books email address NOT Eventbrite.
SIGNED copies are available at Buxton Books. Purchase the book online or call the bookstore at 843-723-1670.
